Who says you can’t have it both ways? Certainly not John Spellmon of Esopus, NY, the owner of this immaculate 2007 FLHRC Road King Classic. Thanks to the addition of a Dragonfly detachable fairing and an H-D Detachable Color-Matched Tour-Pak, John’s FLHRC is equally adept and handling both those long, fully-loaded, two-up highway journeys as well as those short, around-town jaunts. The Dragonfly fairing’s radio plays CDs and will accept input from MP3 players as well. And by simply lifting up the fairing and unplugging the radio connection, the fairing can be removed, transforming the bike from a full-dress touring machine to a clean-looking cruiser. The Tour-Pak is the same one that is used on the FLHTC and FLHTCU models, and detaches from the bike just as easily as the fairing. This FLHRC stands out from the pack with the addition of Chrome Fork Sliders and Chrome Fork Covers. Chrome Handlebar Controls and DiamondBack Control Lines also grace the front end. The passing lamps have been removed and Bullet Turn Signals have been installed on the forks, a la the FLHX Street Glide. The 96” Twin Cam engine’s rumble is accentuated with a set of Rush Slip-On Mufflers, and the bike breathes through and H-D High Flow Air Cleaner Kit, with it’s fuel delivery controlled by a DynoJet Power Commander III. An H-D TallBoy seat allows John (who is 6’ 6” tall) and his wife Maria to ride and enjoy their FLHRC in style and comfort, whether their trip takes them around the block or around the state.. .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It’s a pirate’s life for Carl Immich of Rhinebeck, NY, the owner of this spectacular 2007 FXSTC Softail Custom. The intricately detailed “Pirates Of The Caribbean” paint scheme, which features skulls, ships and swashbucklers against a “tribal-flame” background, was executed by Justin Barnes of JB Grafix in Newburgh, NY. But this bike’s beauty runs much more than skin deep. Up front is a chrome H-D Custom Inverted Front Fork Kit straddling a wider-than-stock 21” X 3.5” Venice wheel from Renegade Wheels. A matching front brake disc and H-D Chrome Brake Caliper have also been installed. The front fender is by Russ Wernimont Designs and the headlight is a H-D 4 ½” Bullet Headlamp. Topping off the front end is an H-D Street Slammer Handlebar with Chrome Controls and Diamondback Chrome-Braided control cables.
The flowing lines of this scurvy Softail continue along the fuel tank until they reach the aggressively styled rear end, which features a 17” X 6” Venice rear wheel, with matching brake disc (with Chrome H-D Brake Caliper) and drive pulley. The rear end has also been treated to an E-Z 200 Conversion Kit from Heartland USA. This kit consists of a new steel rear fender (the “Wild Heart” version in this case), steel rock guard, chrome billet aluminum fender struts and leather solo seat, and bolts on with no drilling or cutting. An H-D Adjustable Lowering Kit drops the rear suspension to give the bike a low-slung stance, and a Kuryakyn Side-Mount License Plate with LED Taillight works together with Kuryakyn LED Turn Signal Inserts and a Run-Brake-Turn Conversion Kit to alert tailgaters when the brakes are applied.
A 103” Twin Cam engine with SE-257 cams, SE Performance Heads and 10.5:1 SE Forged pistons puts more than enough wind in the sails of this street-bound sea dog. The bike breathes in through a Kuryakyn Pro-R Hypercharger and exhales through a set of Vance & Hines Big Radius pipes. A Dynojet Power Commander manages fuel delivery.
Foot pegs and handgrips from the H-D Centerline collection, an H-D Billet Rear Brake Lever and Shift Lever and H-D Split Vision Mirrors are just a few more of the details that finish off this fine machine. Indeed, this Softail would be a welcome addition to any pirate’s treasure chest!. .

. . . . . . . . . . .
Josh Fodrowski of Atwood, NY is the owner of this red-hot 2008 FXDF Fat Bob. The bike features an H-D limited edition Radical Paint Set, “Apocalypse”, and rolls on H-D “Fang” custom wheels (with black floating brake discs) like those found on the FXDFSE Screamin’ Eagle Fat Bob. Chrome Fork Sliders and Chrome Hand Controls with Diamondback Braided Control Lines grace the front end, and a Chrome Swingarm finishes off the rear. The bike’s Twin Cam 96 engine has been punched out to 103” and has SE-255 cams in place of the stock versions. The intake is a Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather and the exhaust is a Big Radius by Vance & Hines. Fuel injection is controlled by a Screamin’ Eagle Race Tuner. This Fat Bob’s engine looks as good as it runs thanks to the addition of a Chrome Engine Package and Chrome Inner Primary Cover Kit, which replace the original Wrinkle Black components. H-D Flamed Turn Signals, as well as numerous pieces from the H-D “Willie G. Skull” and “Flames” collections are a few more details that keeps Josh's Fat Bob fired up and ready to ride!. . |

. . . . . . . . . .Lean, mean and clean is the name of the game when it comes to this 2006 XL883 Sportster owned by Donald Brooks of Poughkeepsie, NY. This XL bears little resemblance to the stock version that Don rolled off the floor. The fuel tank is a 4.4 gallon unit that comes stock on XL Custom models, and the rear fender has been changed with an H-D Bobtail Kit that gives this Sportster and even sportier look. The front fender has also been changed to an XLC version to match the pinstriping that comes on the new tank and rear fender.
Don’s Sportster doesn’t just look good; it has plenty of go to match the show, thanks to a 1200cc conversion with 10:1 pistons. A stubby Vance & Hines ShortShots exhaust contributes to the racy styling.. .

. . . . . . . . . . Robert Kennedy of Kingston, NY owns this 2009 FLHRC ROAD King Classic. With the extensive customization that was performed, Robert sought to emphasize the inherently nostalgic look of the stock bike by enhancing its lines and details. Up front, a Chrome Front End with Chrome Brake Calipers and Visor Style Trim Rings and Bullet Front Turn Signals flows up and into a stock handlebar with Chrome Hand Controls and Levers and Twin Cam Billet Mirrors. The FLHRC’s engine displacement has been increased from 96” to 103” and also has Screamin’ Eagle SE-255 cams installed. The intake has been changed to a Screamin’ Eagle High Flow Breather Kit and the bike exhales through Rush Performance Baloney-Cut Slip-On Mufflers with 2” baffles. A Screamin’ Eagle Pro Tuner handles fuel delivery. This engine looks as good as it runs thanks to Harley-Davidson Billet Milled Rocker Box Covers and Lifter Block Covers, with Harley-Davidson Chrome Engine Hardware being used upon re-assembly. The engine’s most notable feature however, is the modifications to the cooling fins on the cylinders and heads; Diamond Heads, LLC of Henderson, Nevada performed their “Diamond Cut” service on the fins, giving them a jewel-like sparkle that is beautiful and extremely durable. Moving to the rear of the motorcycle, Robert had an FLHX Street Glide rear fender and “Ground Effects” fascia with LED light installed in place of the stock rear fender to fill the space between the fender and the bags. This Road King Classic also features functional accessories like a Detachable Passenger Backrest and Detachable Luggage Rack. Around town or around the country, Robert’s Road King Classic has the style and performance one expects from a Harley-Davidson touring machine.. .
